Depth of Cover is one of several aspects when working with camouflage and concealment.
When the human eye is focused on some brush at close range it is easier to identify anything behind the brush. However as the distance from the brush increases the eye can no longer see beyond the brush. Due to our inability to manually focus on an object that may or may not be there. Most sightings through brush occur due to the detection of movement not shape.
Staying low and several feet behind an object will make it harder for anyone spot your position. Just remember with good depth of cover your biggest enemy is your movement. |
